Job summary

State of Colorado's CDOT in Aurora seeks a Highway Maintenance Specialist with a Colorado Class A/B CDL. Base pay $2,074.62 biweekly, about $53,940 annually, plus a $1,000 monthly housing stipend, totaling about $65,940. The schedule is 10-hour days, four days a week, with travel during warmer months.

You will install markings, plow snow, operate heavy equipment, repair infrastructure, and maintain safety. Must have two years of experience; CDL required; on-call and overtime possible; benefits

Qualifications

• Must have at least two (2) years of physical labor and/or heavy equipment operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Install pavement markings/striping.
• Install/repair guardrail, signs and lighting.
• Plow snow and maintain roadways.
• Operate heavy equipment (dump trucks, loader, dozer, backhoe).
• Mow grass and remove debris from roadways.
• Set out traffic control signs and cones.
• Perform minor equipment repairs and safety checks.
