Job summary

Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) seeks a Highway Maintenance Specialist for Cameron Pass, CO. Base pay is $2,074.62 biweekly ($53,940 annually). The role requires a CDL A or B, willingness to work on-call and in shifts, and hands-on maintenance of snow plowing, signs, and guardrails in varying weather conditions.

You will work in a team, report to a lead specialist, and support safety-critical operations while providing reliable service to travelers and the public.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two years of physical labor and/or heavy equipment operation experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid CDL class A or B with no air brake restriction.
• Willingness to work on-call, shift work, and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Plowing snow and operating heavy equipment on maintenance patrols.
• Installing and repairing guardrail, highway markers, signs and pavement markings.
• Responding to weather emergencies and controlling traffic as needed.
