Job summary

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) seeks a Highway Maintenance Worker 2 to join the Olympic Region maintenance team, performing skilled highway maintenance with focus on pavement markings, striping, sign maintenance and work zone traffic control.

This full-time role includes winter snow response, standby shifts, and occasional travel. Candidates must meet level qualifications and hold a valid driver's license; CDL with N endorsement required for HMW2.

Qualifications

• Highway maintenance experience with pavement repair and drainage.
• Ability to follow safety policies and wear PPE.
• Valid driver’s license for Washington State.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain pavement markings, signs, and striping.
• Operate Class A,B,C maintenance equipment and striping trucks.
• Support snow and ice response and emergency operations.
• Document daily activities using computerized systems.
