Job summary

State of Missouri’s Southwest District North region seeks a Maintenance Crew Leader at the Galena facility to lead highway maintenance crews, operate equipment, and ensure safety and efficiency in field work.

Responsibilities include directing crews, monitoring supplies, and inspecting bridges and roadways to determine maintenance needs. Applicants must have a CDL A with tanker endorsement and 5 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement and interstate status.
• Five years of roadway, roadside, bridge or sign maintenance experience.
• Successful completion of a work simulation and a medical-physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Leads crews during maintenance operations and sets up work zones.
• Operates highway maintenance equipment such as tractors and trucks.
• Oversees material usage and helps prepare reports.
• Oversees routine maintenance of equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Inspects bridges and roadways to determine maintenance needs.
