Job summary
Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) is seeking a Highway Design Engineer for Districts 1 & 7 in Lincoln, NE. You will design a range of projects from maintenance to new construction, collaborating with environmental, construction, and local entities to deliver safe, reliable transportation infrastructure.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
- Must pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) within one year of employment.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license at time of employment or within 90 days.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design of complex rural and municipal roadway construction projects.
- Design horizontal and vertical alignments, cross-sections, guardrail, erosion control, and other roadway features.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, design culverts, storm sewers and drainage features.
