The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) is seeking a Highway Project Manager in Holdrege, NE to lead field-based construction projects, ensuring quality and adherence to plans and specifications. The role emphasizes supervision, documentation, and coordination with diverse stakeholders.

Formación

• Experience performing and/or overseeing engineering work in highway construction or similar field.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Post high school education in engineering preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction inspection, surveying, record keeping, and contract administration.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and coordinate field-based construction project activities from routine to complex.
• Supervise assigned personnel and ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Prepare and maintain complete project records, reports, estimates and final computations.
• Supervise measurements and computations of final pay quantities and oversee contractor performance.
• Interpret plans, contracts, standards and manuals for daily tasks.
• Communicate with businesses, property owners, officials, and the public.
• Hire, train and discipline personnel per NDOT policies and safety rules.
