Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, is seeking a Construction Manager to lead highway construction and asphalt/concrete projects in Texas. You will oversee project objectives, budgets, and field crews, working closely with senior management to ensure on-time delivery and safety compliance.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in construction management or related field, a valid driver’s license, and proven experience managing highway construction teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field or equivalent training and experience.
• Valid state driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Proven experience of increasing responsibilities within highway construction or similar duties.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working culture and minimize risk for all employees.
• Serve as project manager for construction crews and set objectives within policy.
• Coordinate with prime clients and subcontractors to facilitate activities.
• Monitor project progress to meet schedule and budget; implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain backlog for operations; manage budgets and resources.
• Recruit, hire, train, and discipline employees as needed.
• Interface with maintenance, vendors, and owners; ensure safety and compliance.
• Assist in job bidding and provide sound advice during the process.
