Base pay range

$37,838.00/yr - $50,848.00/yr

Job Summary

This series exists to provide and preserve a safe and efficient transportation system for the traveling public, while being courteous, considerate, and prompt in dealing with and serving the public.

Job Duties

• Operate motorized vehicles and equipment, perform pavement care, landscape care, roadside shoulder restoration and repairs, signing and striping, delivery of equipment and materials, ensure environmental compliance, and maintain vehicles and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Highway Operations Worker: 6 months of related experience.
• Highway Operations Tech 1: 1 year of related experience.
• Highway Operations Tech 2: 2 years of related experience.
• Highway Operations Tech 3: 3 years of related experience.

Additional Requirements

• Must obtain an Arizona CDL (Class "A") permit within 90 days of hire and a full license within 6 months.
• Must have an Arizona Class "A" CDL with necessary endorsements prior to start.

Pre-Employment & Other Details

• Registration with FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse required.
• Must be able to respond to emergency call outs 24/7 and lift/carry 50 lbs.
