This series aims to provide and maintain a safe, efficient transportation system, serving the public courteously and promptly. Positions will be assigned based on experience and qualifications.
The unit maintains drainage channels that handle water west of L303 south to the Salt River and north of the Agua Fria.
Candidates should have varying years of roadway/highway experience, from 6 months to 3 years, depending on the position, involving operation of motorized vehicles, maintenance, signing, striping, pavement care, and landscape preservation.
Employees must obtain an Arizona CDL (Class A) permit within 90 days and a full license within 6 months. A tanker endorsement is required prior to start. The role involves emergency response, physical lifting, and driving requirements, including maintaining a valid driver’s license and insurance.
