Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC in Savannah, GA is seeking a Project Engineer for a multiyear interstate widening project. You will manage submittals, RFIs, quantities and cost tracking, while coordinating with DOT inspectors, engineers and field crews.

The role offers a path to Senior Project Engineer with a strong backlog of highway and bridge work across the Southeast; relocation to the Savannah area is welcome for the right candidate. A company vehicle and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project or field engineering on heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects.
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities and cost tracking.
• Proficient with MS Office; Primavera P6 is a plus.
• Bridge or DOT project experience is a plus.
• Based in Savannah area or willing to relocate for a multiyear project.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope.
• Build quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay application backup.
• Track cost against budget and assist with monthly cost reports.
• Help update the project schedule in Primavera P6.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries.
• Work with DOT inspectors and design engineers on field issues.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements.
• Spend real time in the field on bridge and roadway work.
• Support the Senior Project Engineer, Project Manager and Superintendent.
