Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant in Killingworth, CT to support learning across year groups and deliver targeted interventions.

You will provide one-to-one and small-group support, lead classroom interventions, maintain a positive, inclusive environment and uphold safeguarding policies. QTS or HLTA status is preferred, with experience as a Teaching Assistant in a school.

Higher Level Teaching Assistant

About the Role?

As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Deliver planned lessons and provide classroom cover in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Lead targeted interventions to support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies and contribute to the wellbeing of all pupils.
About you?

We are looking for HLTA’s who:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Higher-Level Teaching Assistant in a school setting.
  • HLTA status, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • A strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective classroom practices.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
