Job summary

Duke University is hiring a Higher Education Analyst I to transform complex data into meaningful insights supporting student well-being and success. You will collaborate with leaders across Student Health, CAPS, DukeReach, and other partners to inform decisions and shape services.

The role focuses on data integration from multiple systems, statistical analysis, and the creation of dashboards and reports for diverse audiences to drive strategic decisions in student health and wellness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, Higher Education, Public Health, Social Sciences, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Three years of relevant experience in data analysis, assessment, research, reporting, or decision support.
• Strong foundation in statistical analysis and quantitative research methods.
• Experience utilizing statistical software, preferably SPSS.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management tools.
• Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Aggregate, integrate, and manage data from multiple systems including Epic, Titanium, Point and Click, Maxient, REDCap, and other institutional data sources.
• Perform statistical analyses to identify trends, patterns, opportunities, and areas for improvement across Student Well-being programs and services.
• Evaluate data quality, investigate anomalies, and ensure the integrity and reliability of reporting.
• Create dashboards, visualizations, scorecards, and reports that communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Develop recurring reporting processes and KPI tracking in partnership with departmental leadership.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports that support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Serve as a trusted resource and steward for well-being data requests across the university.
