Job summary

The University of Louisville is seeking an Institutional Research Analyst I to support data collection, reporting, and routine analytics for the Office of Institutional Research, Analytics, and Decision Support. You will work under supervision to develop knowledge of institutional data and reporting processes while contributing to recurring reports and data requests on Belknap campus.

Succeeding candidates will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, experience in data analysis, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in higher education data analysis, reporting, or BI.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with database concepts.
• Experience with SQL, SAS, R, Python, Power BI, Tableau or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with institutional data requests and recurring reporting activities.
• Collect, validate, and organize institutional data from multiple sources.
• Perform routine data quality assurance and validation activities.
• Support state, federal, accreditation, and other required reporting processes.
• Assist with benchmarking surveys, external surveys, and ad hoc data requests.
• Develop familiarity with institutional reporting systems and analytical tools.
• Collaborate with analysts and campus departments to support data needs.
• Prepare basic reports, summaries, and data visualizations.
• Document reporting procedures and maintain reporting documentation.
• Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of institutional data.
• Participate in professional development and training activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
