Job summary

The University of Louisville is seeking an Institutional Research Analyst I to support the Office of Institutional Research, Analytics, and Decision Support with data collection, reporting, validation, and routine analysis. This 100% in-person role on Belknap campus works under close supervision to build institutional data skills and deliver timely analytics for academic and administrative partners.

Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and experience with data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and database concepts.
• Experience using SQL, SAS, R, Python, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytical tools.
• Familiarity with student information systems or enterprise administrative systems.
• Demonstrated interest in institutional research, assessment, or higher education analytics.

Responsibilities

• Assist with institutional data requests and recurring reporting activities.
• Collect, validate, and organize institutional data from multiple sources.
• Perform routine data quality assurance and validation activities.
• Support state, federal, accreditation, and other required reporting processes.
• Assist with benchmarking surveys, external surveys, and ad hoc data requests.
• Develop familiarity with institutional reporting systems and analytical tools.
• Collaborate with analysts and campus departments to support data needs.
• Prepare basic reports, summaries, and data visualizations.
• Document reporting procedures and maintain reporting documentation.
• Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of institutional data.
• Participate in professional development and training activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
