Higher Education Client Account Manager (CAM), Vice President

Role Overview

As a Client Account Manager, Vice President, you will manage strategic relationships with higher education clients primarily in Texas and the West Central region. Your focus will be to sustain and grow client relationships, lead project teams, and develop new business opportunities in higher education infrastructure and design services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for client service activities and develop strategies to expand the higher education practice in Texas and the West Central region.
  • Lead client service teams of project managers and practice leaders to achieve success and growth.
  • Build and maintain deep, valuable relationships with clients, advocating for their needs and aligning Jacobs’ services with their goals.
  • Identify and develop high-level client engagement opportunities and secure management commitment for pursuits.
  • Collaborate on staffing, project pursuits, and strategic planning to ensure profitability and growth.
  • Participate in industry organizations and community engagement to enhance Jacobs’ presence and reputation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, planning, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years in architecture, engineering, or related disciplines, with proven success in the higher education market.
  • Strong existing relationships with major higher education clients and a successful record of winning work.
  • Sales expertise in responding to RFPs, negotiations, and securing new contracts.
  • Leadership skills to coordinate teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Attributes
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain executive-level relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with strong emotional intelligence and leadership capabilities.
  • Technical experience in higher education project delivery is a plus.
