Job summary

Boise State University Foundation is seeking an Assistant Director of Development to deliver a premier philanthropic experience to donors, leveraging digital and in-person engagement to cultivate relationships that matter to each supporter.

The role focuses on managing a sizable donor portfolio, using Raise by Gravyty and video tools to accelerate outreach, and hitting activity and revenue targets in a university context.

Qualifications

  • Experience in higher education fundraising is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills across mediums, especially via video conferencing.
  • Strong collaboration and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong work ethic with a desire to become a leader in the development space.
  • Ability to handle confidential material responsibly and interact professionally with a wide spectrum of individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Actively engage with and build relationships with a portfolio of supporters and prospects.
  • Manage a hand-selected portfolio of approximately 500 to 750 current and lapsed donors.
  • Leverage technology including Raise by Gravyty and other platforms to build rapport, steward and solicit donors.
  • Execute monthly and quarterly touchpoint cadences across portfolio to ensure consistent donor communication.
  • Meet and exceed activity, donor and revenue retention and reactivation goals.
  • Be fluent in engagement options across the university to inform conversations and solicitations.
  • Serve as a proactive advisor on resources available to donors across the institution.
  • Build relationships across the University campus to connect donors with relevant individuals.
  • Aid in outreach and follow up for alumni events and development activities.
  • Proactively monitor engagement to identify and launch fundraising initiatives.
