Job summary

Arizona State University Foundation seeks an Assistant Director of Development to lead externally focused fundraising efforts. You will manage a portfolio targeting gifts of $50,000+ and collaborate across units to raise $500k–$1M annually. Proficiency with Salesforce/Workday and strong ethical standards are essential.

You will develop proposals, budgets, and collateral, coordinate donor relations, and help plan campaigns while supporting academic units and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Two to three years of successful development experience.
• Demonstrated ability in securing major gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other sources.
• Experience working in Salesforce and Workday is preferred.

Responsibilities

• In a team approach, create fundraising and engagement efforts for multiple areas.
• Active engagement of donors, alumni, faculty, staff, and students with a portfolio focused on gifts at or above $50,000.
• Develop written proposals, budgets, and collateral materials for securing philanthropic investments.
• Assist in strategic fundraising and engagement efforts to drive donor retention, reactivation, acquisition, and pipeline growth.
• Use Salesforce to record and coordinate contacts and proposals.
• Ensure proper stewardship and recognition of donors in portfolio.
• Participate in campaign planning and implementation as a development team member.
• Establish strong relationships with deans, chairs, directors, and faculty.
