Job summary

Wainwright Talent Partners seeks an Assistant Superintendent for Hartford/Storrs Higher Education work to oversee construction projects, work with the Superintendent, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

You will manage day-to-day site operations, track progress, and communicate with the team and clients to keep projects on schedule. A Bachelor's in CM/engineering and 2+ years in construction are desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing all aspects of the construction process, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor and maintain project schedules, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work aligns with plans and specifications.
• Assist in managing project budgets and tracking expenses.
• Ensure safety protocols and regulations are followed on site.
• Communicate with the project team, subcontractors, and clients to provide updates and address issues.
• Assist in resolving conflicts or issues during construction.
• Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily reports and change orders.
