Job summary

Humane Society of Charlotte is seeking a veterinarian for our HQHV spay/neuter program. The role emphasizes high-quality, high-volume surgeries for dogs and cats, with a focus on compassionate care and community access.

The position works within the Clinic Services Department alongside RVTs, Veterinary Assistants, and Client Service Associates. Responsibilities include comprehensive surgical care, client communication, and team collaboration to improve community access to care.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) required.
• Experience in high-volume, spay/neuter settings preferred.
• Strong communication with clients and team; empathy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-, peri-, and post-operative surgical care for dogs and cats.
• Perform surgical sterilizations and other HSC surgeries as requested.
• Provide post-operative checks and follow-up care.
