Job summary

The Humane Society of Charlotte is seeking a veterinarian dedicated to High Quality/High Volume Spay/Neuter and expanding access to affordable care in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on pre-, peri-, and post-operative care for dogs and cats and aims to perform 25-30 surgeries daily once trained, with opportunities to support wellness services.

Collaborate with RVTs, Veterinary Assistants, and Client Service staff in a supportive Clinic Services team.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine; DVM or VMD required.
• Preferred 3–5 years of HQHV spay/neuter experience.
• Proficient with MS Office and database management software.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a shelter environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-, peri-, and post-operative surgical care for dogs and cats.
• Perform 25–30 spay/neuter surgeries per day once trained.
• Collaborate with RVTs, Veterinary Assistants, and Client Service staff.
• Support wellness and preventive care services when needed.
