Job summary

The Animal Health Organization in Ohio is seeking a High-Impact Surgical Veterinarian (HQHVSN) to lead high-volume spay/neuter surgeries and provide essential veterinary care. The role prioritizes patient welfare, collaborative practice, and community impact.

Ideal candidates have HQHVSN experience or training, DVM, and Ohio licensure eligibility. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule, competitive compensation, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

  • DVM (or equivalent) with Ohio licensure or eligibility.
  • HQHVSN experience preferred, but training is available for the right candidate.
  • Strong surgical skills and a commitment to animal welfare.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgeries for dogs and cats (approximately 30–35 surgeries per day)
  • Perform additional soft tissue procedures such as pyometra surgery, mass removals, enucleations, cystotomies, gastropexies, entropion repairs, and other general surgeries
  • Maintain exceptional standards of patient care, anesthesia, safety, and surgical efficiency
  • Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to deliver outstanding patient care
  • Support our mission of expanding access to affordable veterinary services within the community
