Job summary

Pilot Flying J is seeking an experienced Retail Assistant Manager to lead high-volume travel center and restaurant operations. You will shape business plans to achieve sales, profit objectives, and exceptional customer satisfaction while building strong teams.

You will build, coach, and develop staff, manage inventories, and maintain vendor relations, ensuring financial performance and service excellence across shifts.

Qualifications

Minimum 2-3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, grocery or service with responsibility for financial results.
Previous management proficiency in high volume retail with P&L accountability
Ability to create and maintain a customer focused culture
Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, days, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

Drive sales and profitability for travel center and restaurant operations
Manage and develop teams incl. staffing, interviewing, hiring and training
Maintain effective vendor relationships
Conduct meetings with subordinate employees
Perform P&L analysis and monitor financial results
Track inventory and ensure customer service standards
