Job summary

Rusco Manufacturing in Loves Park, Illinois, is seeking a skilled operator to run multi-spindle screw machines, read engineering drawings, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances with safe, repeatable results. The first shift runs 6 am–3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunities and a supportive team environment.

You will confirm setups, monitor conditions, adjust tooling to protect quality and rate, perform in-process inspections and data recording, and carry out routine

Build parts that keep industries moving. If you are energized by tight tolerances, repeatable output, and doing it safely every time, this role is for you.

The challenge

At 6 am you step to your Acme multi-spindle. You confirm the setup, verify the first piece with micrometers and calipers, and lock in the process window. As production runs, you fine-tune feeds and tooling to hold spec, document results, partner with quality on any nonconformance, and keep the cell clean and organized. By 3:30 pm, you have hit the schedule and captured accurate records for the next shift.

Your background

• 3+ years operating screw machines in a production setting.
• Fluent in reading engineering drawings and applying work instructions.
• Experienced with precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Detail-driven, dependable, and quality focused.
• Capable of basic troubleshooting of machine and process issues.
• Works well independently and on a team.

We will train candidates who have run Davenport, New Britain, Wickman, Greenlee, or similar screw machines to adapt to our equipment.
