Job summary

The University of Central Florida is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the Student Health Services Pharmacy. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will assist in filling prescriptions, enter data, handle billing and eligibility, and support inventory and customer service.

Candidates must be Florida-registered as a Pharmacy Technician with 2+ years experience; preferred experience includes high-volume retail, EHR systems (ECW), and third-party billing.

Qualifications

• Registered as a Pharmacy Technician in Florida with 2+ years of experience, or equivalent
• Proficient interpretation of physician orders and prescription data entry
• Experience with third-party billing and insurance processing
• Familiarity with inventory management and stocking procedures

Responsibilities

• Assist in filling prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
• Enter prescription data accurately into the computer and handle billing
• Manage inventory and order stock for medications and supplies
• Communicate with pharmacists, nurses, physicians and support staff
• Process mobile and in-person patient interactions and greet customers
• Monitor wait times and assist in optimizing prescription flow
• Assist in orientation and training of new staff and technicians
• Perform other duties as needed
