Job summary

Community Health Centers in Florida seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in filling prescriptions, billing, and maintaining inventory across sites.

Under supervision, you will enter patient data, submit third-party claims, collect payments, and ensure accurate drug handling. Current Florida tech registration and a high school diploma are required; travel to sites may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of retail experience preferred.
• Registered as a Pharmacy Technician by the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
• Certified as a Pharmacy Technician by PTCB or NHA preferred.
• Current Florida Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Enters patient information including insurance coverage in the pharmacy software.
• Submits insurance claims and follows up on rejections.
• Counts and measures medications correctly.
• Billing & payments from customers and third party.
• Maintains drug inventory and supplies.
• Receives vendor orders and checks invoices.
• Maintains records and ensures compliance with DEA and board requirements.
