Job summary

Morrison Healthcare in Galveston, TX is hiring a full-time Cook to join our hospital dining team. The role requires 2–3 years of high-volume cooking experience and offers a 6:00 am to 6:30 pm schedule with opportunities for training.

As part of Compass Group, you will prepare meals per standard recipes, maintain safety and quality, and work closely with colleagues to nourish patients and staff.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of previous high-volume cooking experience preferred.
• Full-time availability; 6:00 am to 6:30 pm shift.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning and ensuring food is at the right temperature and looks appetizing.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety by cleaning kitchen after preparation and keeping storage areas organized.
• Follows HACCP standards and assists in ordering and receiving of food and supplies as required.
