Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, part of Compass Healthcare, is hiring a full-time Cook for Shriners Children's Hospital in Galveston, TX. The role requires working 6:00 am to 6:30 pm, Monday through Sunday, with a pay range of $12.00 to $14.00 per hour. 2–3 years of high-volume cooking experience is preferred.

Training is offered and essential duties include food preparation and serving while maintaining safety standards. Location: Shriners Children's Hospital, 815 Market Street, Galveston, TX 77550.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of previous high volume cooking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning and temperature controls.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Stores or discards excess food per safe food-handling procedures.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
