Job summary

Urban Farmer is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to support high‑volume food manufacturing. You will operate the VEMAG extruder, crimper, JDD bagger, inline pressing system, and packaging lines, ensuring consistent weights, tight seals, and high output.

This role requires adherence to GMPs and food safety standards, with strong attention to quality control, documentation, and teamwork in a fast-paced production environment. Flexible scheduling up to six days a week may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical equipment preferred.
• Strong understanding of mechanical devices and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and follow instructions; good math skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor VEMAG extruder, crimper, bagger, inline press system, ovens, and freezer to maintain high-volume throughput.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ensure product weights, fill accuracy, and seal integrity meet specifications.
• Record production data, machine settings, and any deviations for traceability.
• Work with team and supervisors to ensure food safety and GMP compliance.
