Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized five-year Inside Wireman Apprenticeship or equivalent training program.
• Two (2) years of verifiable journey-level electrician experience in high voltage work (>600 volts).
• Possession of a valid California (Class C) driver license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, repair, install and test electrical equipment up to 24,000 volts at utility facilities.
• Perform de-energized maintenance and testing of circuit breakers and transformers at substations and power plants.
• Operate and adjust substation equipment, including photovoltaic systems and UPS devices.
• Install conduits, pull and terminate wire for motors and control panels; test electrical installations.
• Create as-built and shop drawings; test insulation and locate faults.
• Ensure safety and compliance with applicable codes; perform related duties as required.
