Mortenson is seeking a Substation Technician to construct, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair high-voltage substation equipment to ensure safe power delivery. You will inspect transformers, breakers, relays, and related infrastructure, install and test cables, and interpret schematics and drawings.

The role requires reading electrical diagrams, performing energization support, and maintaining accurate records while adhering to OSHA and client safety standards.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical, vocational, or Associate's degree in Electrical Technology or related field preferred.
• Minimum two years of electrical, utility, substation, power delivery, or related experience; apprenticeship completion preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems, substations, and safe work practices.
• Valid driver's license required; Class A CDL preferred or ability to obtain.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and customer service.
• Ability and willingness to travel and work on project assignments as needed.

SUMMARY
