Job summary
A national provider of technical services is looking for a Field Service Technician in West Monroe, LA. The role involves performing electrical testing and maintenance on high voltage substations. Candidates should possess an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience, along with 2+ years in the high voltage industry. Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of experience in the high voltage industry is preferred.
Ability to understand and work with electrical components and symbols.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Responsibilities
Perform electrical testing and maintenance of high voltage substations.
Generate technical reports detailing services and problems found.
Communicate effectively with clients and management regarding projects.
Skills
Knowledge of The Power Triangle
Basic understanding of one-line, three-line, AC/DC schemes
Understanding of current and potential transformer purposes
Basic current transformer tests
Knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, ICEA, and NETA standards
Motor ratings and motor testing knowledge
Communication skills (oral and written)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Education
