Job summary

A national technical services provider is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform electrical testing, maintenance, and start-ups of high voltage substations. Candidates should have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and proficiency in electrical testing methodologies. This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $190,000 yearly, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Proficient in electrical testing methodologies.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a TWIC card.
• Must pass drug, alcohol, and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing services on power apparatus.
• Generate technical reports detailing services provided.
• Make safety a top priority during all operations.

Skills

Proficiency in electrical testing methodologies and related software tools

Knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, ICEA, and NETA standards

Ability to interpret and draw diagrams

Strong analytical and mathematical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
