Xcel Energy, a leading energy provider, is hiring an Electric Substation Electrician/Technician in Colorado Springs. The role involves installing, inspecting and maintaining high voltage substations, switching with proper clearances, and enforcing safety practices.

A CDL Class A and Journeyman-level experience are required, with after-hours availability. The position pays $63.55 per hour and requires the ability to work at heights and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in varied weather, at heights, and in confined spaces.
• CDL Class A and Journeyman level Substation Electrician training or equivalent.
• Experience operating and maintaining high voltage substations.

Responsibilities

• Install, construct, inspect, repair and maintain high voltage substation equipment.
• Demonstrate proficiency with high voltage equipment and obtain proper clearances for switching.
• Lead safety practices per company guidelines and respond to after-hours calls.

Skills
