Job summary

Beta Engineering is seeking a Construction Manager to coordinate all site activities for high‑voltage substation projects, ensuring safety, design and schedule compliance while interfacing with the customer and Beta project team. This role maintains the project log and field documentation, and oversees subcontractor performance on site.

The CM leads field activities, enforces QA/QC and safety programs, and reviews project documents.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience as a high voltage substation construction supervisor or foreman.
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities of and between subcontractors to streamline construction activities.
• Acts as a liaison between customer’s representative and Beta’s subcontractors on the project site.
• Holds and attends required construction, safety and/or quality meetings to represent Beta Engineering to the customer.
• Provides safety oversight on the project ensuring subcontractors are trained and safety programs are in place.
• Addresses safety issues, documents trainings and meetings, and performs on-site safety audits.
• Provides quality oversight on construction to ensure compliance with Beta’s standards and drawings.
• Implements QA programs and performs quality inspections with documented results.
• Provides procurement oversight by logging all material received.
• Coordinates handling and storage procedures and communicates with the Project Manager.
• Facilitates communication between subcontractors and the Project Manager.
• Maintains coordination with the Project Manager and reports issues daily.
• Responsible for all aspects of the site construction process.
• Maintains cleanliness of the site office, job site, vehicle and equipment.
• Reviews project documents and communicates field changes to the team.
• Creates and distributes daily/weekly/ad hoc reports for the project team.
