Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks a Project Manager, High Voltage Services, to lead HV service projects from initiation to completion in the United States. You will develop plans for scope, schedule, budgets and resources, coordinating engineers, technicians, and subcontractors while acting as the main customer contact and ensuring safety compliance.

You will monitor progress, manage risks and finances, prepare stakeholder reports, and drive post-project reviews for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must have work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• Minimum of 3 years of project management experience focused on high voltage power systems, substations, or transmission and distribution networks.
• Knowledge of high voltage equipment, safety standards, and industry practices; PMP or an equivalent project management certification is preferred.
• Proficiency with project management software, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, and standard office applications.
• Able to manage diverse teams and customer relationships through effective communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and sound project management; ability to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans covering scope, schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Coordinate engineers, technicians, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and efficient workflows.
• Serve as the primary customer contact, provide updates, manage expectations, and resolve concerns.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and meet financial targets.
• Maintain project quality and comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Prepare and present progress reports and final project documentation.
• Conduct post-project reviews and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
