Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an Operation Support A – Load Dispatch Electrician to install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment across our facilities. You will operate distribution equipment, perform switching, and inspect substations and transformers. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing motors, transformers, switchgear, rectifiers, and control systems; installing gear, running conduit, and reading schematics.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related discipline.
• Journeyman’s card or equivalent certification.
• Military A or C School training; field experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and building systems.
• Maintain motors, transformers, switchgear, rectifiers and control systems.
• Install and test electrical gear; run conduit and replace fuses.
• Work from schematics and wiring diagrams; order materials.
• Perform comprehensive inspections using inspection instruments.
• Inspect transformers, substations, batteries, and generators.
• Identify causes of malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate distribution of utilities and maintain systems.
