Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a High Voltage Field Service Engineer to perform complex field operations on HV equipment up to 800kV. You will install, maintain and troubleshoot equipment while leading crews and developing service improvements.

Extensive travel (80%), valid US work authorization, and strong mechanical/electrical skills are required for success in this onsite role. Base salary aligns with experience in the Maryland area.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with high voltage equipment up to 800kV.
• Knowledge of electrical testing and substation construction.
• Leadership experience coordinating and leading crews.
• Valid US driver's license and ability to travel up to 80%.
• Work authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex field service operations with minimal guidance.
• Deliver installation, maintenance, and repairs.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and proactively prevent issues.
• Lead field service projects and provide direction and analysis.
• Identify and develop sales and business opportunities.
