Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 5–7 years in high-voltage power distribution or heavy electrical systems.
• Experience with NEC/NESC and 2.4kV–35kV networks.
• Current NFPA 70E training is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Technical Authority for electrical distribution at NASA Ames site.
• Develop a 5–10 year master plan for distribution infrastructure with cost-benefit analyses.
• Guide field crews during complex troubleshooting or emergency repairs.
• Review engineering packages, one-line diagrams, and protection studies for new work.
• Ensure NEC/NESC/NFPA 70E compliance in designs and field activities.
• Interface with government, contractors, and project staff for updates and status.
