Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 5+ years of professional experience in high-voltage power distribution/substation engineering.
• Knowledge of Federal and California facility electrical distribution infrastructure (2.4kV–35kV+).
• Familiar with NEC and NESC requirements.
• NFPA 70E training required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for the site's electrical distribution infrastructure (2.4kV–35kV+).
• Develop a 5–10 year master plan with cost-benefit analyses for distribution infrastructure upgrades.
• Provide engineering guidance to field crews during complex troubleshooting or repairs.
• Review and approve engineering packages, submittals, diagrams, and protection studies.
• Ensure NEC, NESC, NFPA 70E compliance in designs and field work.
• Lead NFPA 70E safety initiatives and oversee arc flash studies.
• Analyze contractor data to predict equipment life cycles and prevent outages.
• Support technical reviews for equipment upgrades to ensure compliance.
• Interface with Government, contractors, and project staff for updates and status.
• Prepare monthly/annual milestone reviews and reports.
