GM Performance Power Units is seeking a motivated High Voltage Electronics Engineer Intern to join our ERS team in Concord, NC. This hands-on internship supports building an Analog HV Battery Control Box benchtop training and test rig, teaching high-voltage safety and HV subsystem characterization before vehicle integration.

You will work with experienced electrical engineers on analog safety-critical design, PCB layout, and HV commissioning practices used in our Formula 1 power unit program.

Qualificações

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• Experience with analog circuit design and lab projects.
• Willing to complete GMPPU HV safety certification prior to hands-on work.
• Strong attention to detail and precise documentation.
• Ability to work on-site in Concord, NC for the internship duration.

Responsabilidades

• Support schematic capture and component selection for the HV path under the build lead.
• Assist with PCB layout reviews for HV clearance and document design margins.
• Draft and pilot-test procedures for HV training curriculum modules.
• Participate in bench testing and data collection during rig commissioning under supervision.
• Document test results, progress, and design decisions for safety case review.
• Support characterization studies on HV subsystems as the rig expands.
• Observe HV safety procedures to build foundational HV safety competency.
