Ford Motor Company in the United States seeks a Battery Management Validation Engineer to verify high-voltage battery management hardware, software, and systems across simulation, hardware-in-the-loop benches, energized packs and full vehicles.

You will build verification plans, create traceable test cases, automate regression suites, and collaborate with hardware, software, and controls teams to ensure safety, reliability, and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Disciplined about traceability and evidence.
• Capable with instrumentation and scripting; automate where possible.
• Strength in bench automation or energized high-voltage testing is required; both is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design verification plans and test cases with full traceability.
• Execute validation campaigns across software releases; document results.
• Perform fault insertion and negative testing on sensors and communications.
• Verify safety, diagnostics, and external system annunciations.
• Root-cause failures with cross-functional engineers and manage regression.
• Review supplier verification reports for method conformance.
• Contribute evidence to functional safety, cybersecurity, and product safety docs.
• Build cross-domain competence across validation domains.
