Job summary

Roadrunner Transportation Systems Inc. is seeking a Freight Handler in Atlanta, GA to load, unload, and secure freight with precision on a fast-paced dock.

You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, ensure proper tagging and documentation, and support cross-functional teams to maintain throughput and safety. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 months of related experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Forklift driver qualification required.
• Hazardous Material Training preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Experience in freight/logistics/warehouse/LTL environments is a plus.
• Prioritization and multitasking in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, stack, and secure freight with accuracy and care.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, and other equipment safely.
• Maintain dock flow and keep areas clean and organized.
• Coordinate with operations leadership and dock supervisors.
• Uphold safety, accuracy, and performance standards while meeting timelines.
