Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Signal Integrity Engineer to be onsite in RTP NC. You will work with engineering teams and customers to develop, test, and optimize high-speed interconnect solutions for AI infrastructure, data centers, and networking hardware.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (Master's/PhD preferred) and 3+ years in signal integrity, with hands-on use of VNAs, TDRs, pattern generators, and SI software tools. Competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's or PhD preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in signal integrity or related electrical engineering disciplines.
• Hands-on experience using test and measurement equipment such as VNAs, TDRs, pattern generators, and error-detection tools.
• Proficiency with simulation and analysis software including Ansys HFSS, CST, ADS, HSPICE, MATLAB, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory, PCB design principles, and time-domain/frequency-domain characterization techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and deployment of high-speed interconnect and connectivity solutions throughout the product lifecycle.
• Perform signal integrity modeling, simulation, validation, and troubleshooting for advanced connector and cable systems.
• Develop testing methodologies and verification processes for new product introductions and manufacturing support.
• Design and evaluate printed circuit boards and test fixtures used for electrical characterization and product validation.
• Partner with customers, sales teams, and internal engineering groups to deliver solutions for complex high-speed transmission challenges.
