Job summary

HP in Corvallis, OR seeks an Industrial Controls Engineer to design, develop, commission, and support modular, scalable control systems for high-speed production equipment. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
Experience with industrial control architectures and modular software components.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain PLC-based control systems for industrial machinery.
Implement modular, configurable control architectures to support scalability across platforms.
Develop sequencing logic, state machines, and process control to meet performance requirements.
Promote software standardization and best practices across product lines.
Develop and maintain operator interfaces for machine control and monitoring.
Implement alarms, diagnostics, and recipe management in HMI systems.
Configure and commission motion systems, drives, and industrial I/O.
Integrate industrial communication protocols for machine-to-machine connectivity.
Tune and validate system performance to meet throughput and quality targets.
Design, implement, and validate machine safety solutions per applicable standards.
