Job summary

Corvid Technologies seeks a skilled electrical design and automation engineer to lead design, development, and implementation of advanced electrical control systems. You will take projects from conceptual electrical and control scheme design through panel layout, PLC/HMI integration, testing, and final site commissioning.

The role offers multi-disciplinary collaboration, involvement in prototype to production, and occasional travel to customer meetings and test events (approx. 10%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
• At least 3 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems.
• Experience with electrical CAD software.
• Experience with major PLC/HMI platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Omron).
• Strong knowledge of NEC, UL 508A, NFPA 70E/79.
• Hands-on experience with MCCs, VFDs, sensors, and safety circuits.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical control panels, power distribution schematics, and I/O wiring diagrams.
• Formulate control schemes with closed-loop control and safety interlocks.
• Create CAD drawing packages including line diagrams, panel layouts, and BOMs.
• Perform sizing calculations for power, cables, heat, and SCCR.
• Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
• Integrate VFDs, servo drives, motion controllers, and robotics.
• Set up industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus).
• Provide expertise on electronic systems within overall development.
