Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks an Application Development Engineer/Cable Development Engineer to design and develop high-speed cable assemblies for customer applications.

The role involves close collaboration with customers, design documentation, system architecture, and on-site technical support across multiple locations, with travel 2–3 weeks per quarter. A mechanical engineering background and CAD skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in product development/design.
• Experience with high-speed connectors and cable assemblies; CAD knowledge (SolidWorks).

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to select the best cable solutions.
• Design custom cable configurations and document with engineering drawings.
• Help architect compute trays and cable routing for optimal hardware layout.
• Provide on-site technical support and customer training at locations.
• Coordinate multiple projects and report updates to stakeholders.
