Job summary

Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) is seeking a Locksmith to support Federal government environments, including mechanical and electronic locks and high‑security systems. You will travel across the United States, respond to emergencies, and ensure proper operation of locking systems per standards.

Qualifications include 5–10 years of locksmith experience, Kaba‑Mas certification, ALOA training or equivalent, and licensing for MD/VA/DC.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of locksmith experience in commercial, institutional, or government settings.
• Able to participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies.
• Willing to travel nationwide to support customer sites and contract operations.
• Kaba-Mas certification for high‑security electronic locking systems.
• Completion from an ALOA‑recognized locksmith program or equivalent education/training.
• Certificates/licensing to perform locksmith services in MD, VA, DC.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, urgent, and emergency service on mechanical/electronic locks, safes, vaults, and access control devices.
• Install, replace, repair, maintain, and adjust various locks and access systems per industry standards.
• Disassemble, lubricate, reassemble, and maintain locks and hardware.
• Change and troubleshoot combinations on locks, safes, and controlled access doors.
• Neutralize lockouts and replace damaged locks with specified replacements.
• Repair vault door components and adjust safes for proper operation.
• Instruct users on operation and care of locking systems.
