Global Kids, Inc. in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking a Youth Engagement Specialist to join our HSGC program. You will support attendance initiatives, promote youth development, and foster family engagement while collaborating with schools and community partners.

The role requires experience with high school youth, strong communication, and a commitment to equity. Travel for events may be required, and compensation ranges from $51,000 to $60,000 annually with full benefits.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in liberal arts preferred.
• 2+ years of experience with high school youth.
• Knowledge of NYC social service resources for youth and families.
• Experience in NYC public schools and Community Schools Initiative.
• Experience using interactive learning strategies and youth development.
• Commitment to antiracist practices and diverse settings.
• Strong facilitation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Fluency in other languages is a plus, especially Spanish.

Aufgaben

• Lead attendance improvement strategies with school meetings, develop metrics, monitor progress, analyze challenges.
• Promote a positive school climate emphasizing safety, community, and positivity.
• Collect and review attendance and program data.
• Coordinate interactive, experiential workshops for GK programs.
• Collaborate with staff and youth to generate new program ideas.
• Communicate with students, families, teachers, and partners about events and services.
• Support ongoing asset and needs assessment of the school community.
• Travel for overnight and long-distance events as needed.
