Job summary

Global Kids, Inc. is seeking dedicated professionals for full-time roles serving high school youth within NYC public schools. You’ll support attendance initiatives, promote a positive school climate, and engage families and partners to advance GK programs.

You will develop content on global issues, facilitate workshops, and help shape curricula with a focus on social-emotional learning and 21st-century skills. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in liberal arts preferred.
• 2+ years of experience with high school youth.
• Experience in NYC public schools and with NYC Community Schools Initiative.
• Experience using interactive learning strategies, counseling, and youth leadership.
• Commitment to antiracist teaching practices.

Responsibilities

• Attend school attendance meetings and analyze attendance challenges.
• Promote positive school climate emphasizing safety and community.
• Collect and review attendance, evaluation, and progress data.
• Co-facilitate interactive workshops for GK programs.
• Communicate with students, families, teachers, and partners.
• Travel for overnight or long-distance youth trips as needed.
• Develop content and curriculum on global issues and 21st-century skills.
• Collaborate to generate new program ideas.
