Job summary

Minneapolis Public Schools is seeking a Teacher, Work Experience Coordinator for Harrison Education Center (2026-2027). You will provide instruction aligned to state standards and coordinate work-based learning opportunities for students.

Preferred candidates have experience in high school settings and a trauma-informed approach, with licensure in Emotional/Behavioral Disorders or similar and pending licensure considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required from an accredited university.
• Experience student teaching or teaching in an urban, multicultural setting.
• Ongoing professional development through coursework or job-embedded staff development.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality instruction aligned to the state and national standards.
• Collaborate with peers to develop and implement best practices for diverse learners.
• Assess students' development and tailor instruction to individual needs.
• Incorporate cultural relevancy into daily instruction and project-based learning.
• Collaborate with families and community resources to support learning.
